Rarely does a game gain such a loyal and devoted fanbase as the Metroid series has over the last 35 years. Beginning in 1986 and progressing chapter by chapter until today, Metroid has a fan base fierce enough to ostensibly rival some football clubs. Fast-forward to this year, and it seemed as though Metroid was down and out, a sequel was not ready – but then arguably the biggest announcement came out of E3 2021 - Metroid Dread. An action-adventure game built solely for the Switch consoles by Mercury Steam and Nintendo, Metroid Dread intends to release on the 8th of October.
The 2010 Classic Remastered: Alan Wake

In last year or so since the release of the generation nine consoles has seen many a game remastered in order to keep up: Crysis, Skyrim, Observer – but a new kid is now on the block, and we think many of you will be fond to remember him - Alan Wake. Coming on October the 5th to Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5 and 4 pro is an enhanced edition of Remedy Entertainment’s gaming classic, it’s not the remaster we think we wanted, but it is the remaster we needed.
Bring Your A-Game To World War Z: Aftermath

There is something about the zombie genre of games and films that just never reaches Ad Nauseam; guns, gore, destruction and a survival instinct borne from pure fear. It is sobering knowing the character’s first mistake will likely be their last, that often times, if we are talking 28 Weeks Later, no miracle is coming; the Earth is now infested with what were Humans just like you and I but are now rapid creatures who would give an arm and a leg to have a little bite of your arm and leg. Very romantic. For those who love the Z-genre, you can just picture our delight when Saber Interactive gave us the World War Z game that allowed us to go Rambo-mode on some biters. But wait, I’ve got better news – there is a new game in town: World War Z: Aftermath – and this time we can play in first-person!
Here's Why Lincework's Arigami 2 Has The Potential To Be An Indie Favourite
Joel GunnerSep 17, '21
A sequel to the hallowed Aragami title released back in 2016, the Spanish indie game studio Linceworks look to launch another entry to the stealth-action series: Aragami 2. A game of this grain would be a flawless addition to the Nintendo Switch game portfolio, though it seems that for now Aragami 2 will only be available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles. That said, Linceworks have not ruled out a Switch port coming to fruition in the near future, only that minor technical issues with the game’s initial release demand to be seen to first. Arigami 2 innocuously takes inspiration in concept from Assassin’s Creed, giving a humble but impressive rendition of the stealth-action genre. Differentiating the game from its competitors is multiple gaming modes; you can play Aragami 2 in single or co-op campaigns, with the latter being my preferred choice purely because of how enjoyable it is to join your mates on covert ops, with tense discussions relayed over the mic. I’ve got the one on the right, you take the other one. Got it?
