Summery & Feel-Good Games To Get You Through The Winter

Joel GunnerNov 23, '21

In Europe particularly, matters get pretty chilly and dark come November, some places have only a few hours of sunlight daily. The Winter lasts resolutely until Spring bustles through in March, a period of months that, for those who enjoy sunny warmth, can be a little testing. Distracting ourselves from the ice outside and taking our minds elsewhere is possible through books, films and music, but one medium I just so coincidentally like to use to remind me of Summer and its untroubled innocence is video games. Of course, you have your behemoths, Red Dead Redemption, God of War, Far Cry, and Grand Theft Auto, some series having multiple games, but you already know that all of these are extensive campaigns capable of transporting you to other lives and locations, what about some of the underdogs?

The Kids Gaming Christmas Gift Directory

The Christmas celebrations are fast-arriving, November just flew by and December likely will too. Perhaps you have one of your kids in mind, a niece, nephew, or a younger sibling – a video game would be a perfect present. But… which one? There are so many to choose from, not all of them are kid friendly. Of course, you have got benign (and brilliant) shooter/combat games like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and the Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, yet shooter games might not be on the cards. To make matters worse, most of the appropriate games are on the Nintendo Switch whereas the little one we are buying for shares a PlayStation. In the list that follows, we are going to give you five categories of kids’ games and a few examples of each; gaming is important in our early years! We hope it helps!

We’ve been truly blessed with JRPG titles this year; Scarlet Nexus; Neo: The World Ends With You; Tales of Arise; Kimetsu No Yaiba – but the train isn’t stopping yet, one more genre behemoth is approaching, the post-apocalyptic open-world game Shin Megami Tensei V. Built in the Unreal Engine 4, SMT V is takes on a totally new lease of life as compared to its predecessors - no wonder it took so long to produce. Shin Megami Tensei V was announced back in 2017, we have been constantly reassured that things were on track, going to plan – the fruits of that labour are now abundantly clear, SMT V looks head and shoulders above expectation and he budget lent to it is obvious from the get-go. Let me show you around the Da’At.

The Lowdown On Pokemon Shining Pearl & Brilliant Diamond

Joel GunnerNov 16, '21

The infinite models of the Nintendo DS were often an integral part of our teenage years and childhoods, yet the console was just the host, the platform – the games we played on said console were just as salient when we reminisce. A brand many of us look back on with fond memories is the Pokémon series, whether that be the TV series, the playing cards, or the games – we all knew and loved those magical little creatures. In the earliest rumblings of our gaming lives, one Nintendo game often featured: Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Now 15 years later, a branched-out remake consisting of two games is set to release on the 19th of November to celebrate 25 years of Pokémon – Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl. ILCA, the developer company, have been reserved in giving out information. Despite any brevity, we think Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl could go down as staples in Nintendo history for a second time - here's what we know so far.
