Following on from our 2021 wrap-up article released last week, you guys were keen to know what the biggest titles of 2022 were likely to be. We’re happy to oblige; we’d be confident in saying next year holds even more promise than this year did, and the gaming world has been showered in some impressive titles in recent months; Metroid Dread, Alan Wake Remastered, Life is Strange: True Colours, Deathloop, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, It Takes Two, Far Cry 6 and Forza Horizon 5 – and a lot more. Anyhow, let’s cut to the chase: what games can we expect in 2022?

Knowing how to take your first-step into gaming, or buy for a gamer, can be an extraordinarily difficult thing to do. We want to help. We humans sometimes shy away from what we don’t know – too daunting – we get it. The world of Gaming, for those that perhaps aren’t the most technologically versed, is one of these intimidating leisure activities that we just can’t seem to wrap our heads around. Where do we start? A lot of money and stress rides might lie on an easily made wrong decision. 41% of the global population are classed as gamers, maybe you’ve been one of them in the past. But today with controllers that look like chess boards, consoles with weird names – Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation - and several thousand games to choose from – there’s a lot to consider.

It’s been another of those years where so much has happened in the world; the year kicked off rather underwhelmingly with most of the world in a state of lockdown, then the Coronavirus vaccines were rolled out and we revelled in the Euro’s football competition. In the world of gaming, things also dramatically wavered to and fro, myriad games saw release or were postponed, gamers worldwide struggled to get their twiddling thumbs on a gen-nine console like the PS5 or Xbox Series X, and the gaming community grew further with adult converts and young beginners.
